Matthew is the Founder and Director of CSMC. He has 14 years clinical experience and has worked for some of the biggest sporting organisations in the UK. Matthew was selected as a physiotherapist for Team GB at the 2023 European Games and 2022 Youth Olympics. He was also a physio at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Outside of these prestigious Games selections, Matthew currently works for The FA with the England Women U16-U23. His previous posts include Scarlets Rugby, English Institute of Sport, British Gymnastics, Coventry Rugby, and Cambridge Rugby.

Matthew is one of only 15 CCMI registered concussion physios in the UK. Furthermore, he is one of the only physiotherapists in the world to be formally recognised as an advanced practitioner in 2 distinct healthcare systems. He is a Titled MACP Advanced MSK Physiotherapist in the UK* and a Titled APA Sports Physiotherapist in Australia**.

Matthew is a published scientific author for his research into the biomechanics of ACL injury and is currently leading a large-scale concussion research project in Premiership Men’s and Premiership Women’s rugby. Matthew completed his undergraduate training at the University of Queensland (Australia) graduating with 1st Class Honours in 2010, and completed his Masters in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at King’s College London in 2017. He is a current PhD Candidate at the University of Leicester.
